Marche is an incredibly beautiful and understated region of Italy, in the immediate vicinity of Senigallia, there are a number of amazing towns and villages to visit as well as amazing natural beauty. Some of these places can be reached by local buses although the best option to explore is by Car or to organise a tour.

Corinaldo (~20km away) – Well preserved medieval village with original 14th century walls, sits high on a hill with beutiful views of the countryside.
Arcevia (~35km away) – Arcevia itself is a medieval village with pre-roman origins, sitting on the side of a hill further inland from the sea. Around arcevia are nine further castles including, Nidastore, Loretello and Piticchio. More info here
Gradara (~52km away) – Gradara is considered one of the most beautiful villages of Italy with a very well preserved castle.
Urbino (~70km away) – Urbino was the birthplace of painter Raffaello Sanzio where you can visit the castle where he lived with some of his works.

Nearby nature in the countryside and the beach
Grotte di Frassasi – Considered to be one of the largest caves in Europe in the region of Genga full of unique stalactites and stalagmites. A highly recommended place to visit, situated within the Gola della Rossa Natural Park with numerous other attractions and hikes.
Tempio di Valadier – Also within the Gola della Rossa Natural Park is a unique church carved inside the side of a mountain.
Monte Conero Park – Very beautiful series of beaches around an impressive coastline. These include Spaggia Mezzavalle, Spiaggia San Michele, Spiaggia Due Sorelle, Spaggia Urbani & Porto Novo. Some are challenging to reach via a long footpath or require a ferry and other easier to reach. More info here
Gola del Furlo Marmitte dei Giganti – Natural Canyon with emerald-coloured water. You can take a hike in the park or rent a canoa for a rafting experience!
Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini – Dramatic landscapes, trails and hikes within the National Park. Some highlights include Lago di Fiastra and Lame Rosse Hike.
