Senigallia

Senigallia is a small but lively town in Marche. There are a number of places to see and do in the town itself

Historic Centre

A couple of suggestions in the historic area of Senigallia.

Rocca Roveresca – Historic Castle
Foro Annonario – Lively semi circular building with shops and cafes
Palazzo Del Duca – Cultural Centre with local exhibitions
Corso 2 Giugno – Lively pedestrianised street in historic centre
S. Pietro Apostolo – Cathedral from 1700s in Piazza del Duomo
Area archeologica e museo La fenice – Museum of Roman Ruins

Beachfront

Nice places to walk along or enjoy the beach.

Marina Nuova & Vecchia Pier – Piers in the sea with nice views
Rotonda Al Mare – Round Building located in the sea

Beaches – There is a continuous beach along senigallia split between the Lungomare G. Mameli (Marina Vecchia) where there a rocks in the sea created a calm and wave-free swimming zone and the Lungomare Dante Alighieri (Marina Nuova) where there are no rocks and you get open sea. Both are very nice for swimming with calm warm water.

Spiaggia Libera – There are many ‘ombrelloni’ or beach huts along the beach with you can pay to use for the day or over a longer period, however, there are also various areas where you can be on the beach without the need for renting a space known as ‘free beach’.

There are a lot of good places to eat from simple places to michelin starred restaurants.
